Earl Lee Stewart, 62, of Heltonville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord at 5:40 pm on Friday, July 26, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his wife and children and grandchildren, family, and friends. Earl passed away after a two-year battle with cancer. Earl was born January 16, 1951, in Sidney, Ohio, and was raised in Bloomington, Indiana. He was the son of Wendell and Thelma (Hillenburg) Stewart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had retired from Manchester Tank in Bedford with 35 years of service.

He was a member of the New Paynetown Pentecostal Church. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, deer hunting, spending time working on the farm, and hanging out with the guys he worked with who were like family to him. His favorite time was family pizza night on Saturdays.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Teresa (Eads) Stewart and their son Earl Stewart Jr. and his wife Robin of Heltonville, Indiana, their daughter Jennifer (Stewart) Todd and her fiancé Jamin Thomas of Heltonville, Indiana, his son Joe Crum and wife Tiffany of St. Johns, Michigan, and his daughter Stacy (Reeves) Smith and husband Kelly of Nashville, Indiana. Also surviving are his brother Melvin Stewart and wife Liz of Bloomington, Indiana, sister Doreeta Lucas and husband Ron of Seymour, Indiana, sister Alberta Skinner and companion Don Gerth of Seymour, Indiana, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his birth mother Delia Haynes and sister Ruth Gibson both of Sidney, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and birth brothers, James Haynes, Harold Hall, and Bobby Harris.
