Earl Sparks, 82, Anderson, died November 7, 2009 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born November 3, 1927 in Virginia, and resided in Anderson. He has lived in this area since 1950. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from General Motors Corporation.
He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his children; JoAnn Gates of Anderson, Brenda Lawson Larry of Pendleton, and Dale Sparks Jane of Marion. Two brothers; John Sparks of Virginia, and Jasper Falarny of Arizona. Four sisters; Lenor Sparks of Arizona, Shirley Sparks of Virginia, Dorothy Hill of Virginia, and Margaret Sparks Smith of Anderson. Three grandchildren; John Anderson III, Ronald Lee Anderson, and Melissa John Bowen.
Also surviving are nine great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; Anie Ruth Sparks. His parents; Calvin and MaryHamilton Sparks, and a grandson Dale Sparks.
