Earl J. Mueller, 95, of Indianapolis, formerly of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Westminster Village North.
He was born May 15, 1921 in St. Louis, MO to the late Edward and Josephine (Dooley) Mueller. Earl was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II. Following his service he graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a degree in engineering. He retired from New Departure-Hyatt (a division of General Motors) and then started his own import/export business, Mueller Trading Co. Earl was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and had been a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of Greenwood.
He is survived by children: Michael J. (Deborah) Mueller of Portland, OR; Susan E. (Mueller) Miller of Nashville, TN; Gregory A. (Christina) Mueller of Beaverton, OR; Paul D. Mueller of Beaverton, OR; Thomas J. (Rebecca) Mueller of Indianapolis; Robert S. (Suzanne) Mueller of Westfield; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his wife: Norma (Darwin) Mueller in 2009 and daughter Karen M. (Mueller) Shei.
