Earl Edmund Buckley died(entered into eternal rest) on January 5, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska. Earl was born August 21st, 1928, in Ames, Kansas, to Robert and Nora Buckley. He has lived in the Northbranch (Northern Kansas) area for 56 years.

He leaves behind wife Lonnie; children, Pam Garman of Burr Oak, KS, Sherry Willerton of Tucson, AZ, Randy Buckley of Garden City, KS, Ron Buckley of Aurora, CO, and Roger Buckley of Centennial, CO; as well as 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae Buckley; his parents, Robert and Nora Buckley; and his siblings, Floyd Buckley, Mabel Kalin, Wilbur Buckley, and Wilma (Jean) Nelson

Earl married Donna Mae Roberson in January 1951. Following her death in May 1988, Earl married Lonnie Diehl in June of 1989.

Earl served in the Navy after enlisting at age 18. He served in the Korean War on the destroyer, U.S.S. Keppler.

Earl was involved in custom harvesting for 50 years. He would travel every year from Oklahoma to North Dakota custom combining from May until October. During the fall he would harvest corn, milo, and soybeans around Northern Kansas and Southern Nebraska. Earl also farmed his own land as well as constructing farm buildings and grain bins. He continued to work until age 85.
