Mr. E. Leonidas Smith passed away August 4, 2009 at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was 90 years old. Mr. Smith was born in Bakewell, TN in 1918, the oldest son of ten children of Arthur and Tessie Smith. He was an outstanding student of Soddy-Daisy High School and the University of Chattanooga where he majored in mathematics. Mr. Smith was employed by TVA as a mathematician for some 40 years and taught mathematics at the University of Chattanooga Evening College and later at UT-Chattanooga for over 20 years. Mr. and Mrs.
