E. Ashley Desh Solomon Hawk Wortman, 24, Ringgold died Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Ashley was a longtime volunteer and employee of the Salvation Army. She had attended Dalton State College, Georgia State College, and was currently attending Columbia Southern. Ashley was very active in environmental causes. She was always buying gifts for her loved ones that would help save a tree or benefit a faraway tribe. She volunteered her time with many causes including the Tennessee Aquarium and Hunter Museum. Ashley loved traveling. Her grandfather, Carl Solomon, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Wortman; parents, Doloris and Earnest Hawk; sister, Anna Hawk; half brothers, Ernie (Sherri) Hawk, Duane Hawk, and Christopher Hawk.
