Dyanna Pearson, 63, of Indianapolis died on June 17, 2012 of heart failure.
She was born August 30, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas. Her family eventually settled in Coloma, Mich. She was crowned Miss Coloma in 1966 and she graduated from Coloma High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Michigan State University, and later received her master’s degree in speech and language pathology from Andrews University. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, and skinny-dipping. She was married to David Elliott for 26 years and is survived by three daughters, Amy Shultz of Whitestown, Ind., and Stephanie Perez and Meghan Elliott of San Francisco, Calif. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Anna Shultz, Jeremiah Shultz, Jacob Shultz, Fedlaine Shultz and Cole Pepper. She was looking forward to meeting her newest twin granddaughters, Sofia and Eliana Perez, due in October.
She has two surviving siblings, Evelyn Seekamp of Portage, Mich. and Douglas Pearson of Dowagiac, Mich. Dyanna’s parents, Donald and Helen Pearson, preceded her in death.
