Dwight Yorke Doubleday aka “Dub Tyler” passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at his home in Windham, CT.

Born September 2, 1935 in Willimantic, CT, he was the youngest of four brothers all of whom pre-deceased him.

Dwight was the patriarch of 8 children,17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Throughout his life he was a father, a teacher, and a musician.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Lee Doubleday and his children Gary, Lynn, Chip, Kelly, Julie, Tracey and Jonathan. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna. He is also survived by his dear friend Gerald O’Mara.

On October 25, 1998, he was inducted into the Connecticut Country Western Hall of Fame as “Dub Tyler”.

Whether you knew him as Dwight, Dub, Mr. D or Dad he was loved for his humor, his caring, his music, and his dedication to his family.

He often ended his gigs with these words “May the good lord bless and keep you until we meet again.”
