It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dwight Robison Langland. Dwight was born on May 8, 1939 to parents Thore Langland and Mary Delight Robison Langland in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the third of four boys. Dwight graduated from Zearing High School in 1957.

Dwight married Janice Jean Reed on December 6, 1958 at the Disciples of Christ Church in Zearing, IA. Dwight and Jan shared 62 years of marriage and raised two sons. During their first few years of marriage Dwight worked with his father, Thore, buying livestock in central Iowa and transporting them to processing plants in Chicago, Illinois. He was drafted into the United States Army and went to basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Dwight served his duty in Panama.

In 1968, Dwight began working for Chamberlin Trailer Company in Hampton, Iowa as a sales representative and was named President of Chamberlin Trailers a few years later. In 1976, Dwight purchased Wilson Trailer Sales of Colorado in Henderson, Colorado. In 1985, Dwight built a second trailer dealership, Wilson Trailer Sales of Kansas, located in Dodge City, Kansas. He continued to operate both businesses until his retirement in 2002.

Dwight was a member of the Masonic Lodge and belonged to the Shriners motor cycle unit. He also enjoyed his time as a member of the Elks Lodge.

Following his retirement, he and Jan spent winters with numerous friends in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Dwight and Jan loved to travel. Some of their favorite places were Africa, Ireland, Germany, Hawaii as well as many fun cruises. He adored spending time with his two sons and grandchildren. He also enjoyed getting together with friends and neighbors in both Colorado and Arizona.

Dwight was a wonderful son, brother, husband, friend, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents Thore and Delight Langland and his brother Chuck Langland.

He is survived by the love of his life, Janice Langland and their sons: Jerry Langland (and partner Jay), Jim Langland (and wife Tanya). Grandchildren, Jordan, Luke, Zach, Raeley, Austin, his brothers Roger Langland and Marc Langland (and wife Sandy) and many nieces and nephews.

Our dear Dwight will be lovingly remembered by all family and friends.
