Dwayne W. Reed, 80 of Freeport died Monday, January 14, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Madison. Born October 24, 1932 in Freeport he was the son of John and Harriett (Erhart) Reed. On August 12, 1956 he and Wilma Chandler were united in marriage in Milledgeville.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. After his service Dwayne worked for W.T. Rawleigh Co until it closed . He was a member of the Freeport VFW.
Surviving are his wife of Freeport, two children Gloria Mutchler of Freeport, David (Dawn) Reed of Cedarville; four grandchildren Douglas (fiance’ Crystal) Elgin, Blake (Alaina) Mutchler both of Freeport, Jenna Reed of San Angelo, TX, McKenna Reed of Cedarville; five great grandchildren Abigail, Katelynn, Trinity, Blair, Anna; one sister Ruth Lower of Freeport. Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter Colleen, great grandson Blake Jr. and a brother at infancy.
