Dwayne Gerard Blake, 66, of Boca Raton, departed this life on January 29, 2022. He was born on February 1, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, the 3rd child to the late Johnnie Blake Jr. and Mamie Augusta Johnson Blake.
In 2007 Dwayne relocated to Boca Raton from St. Louis to be closer to his sister Dena and brother Derek. In 2016 Jackii left St. Louis and moved to Boca Raton to take care of her older brother when he became ill and lost his first leg due to Diabetes. As his condition worsened, Jackii never left his side even while he was in the hospital and rehabilitation.
Dwayne loved Jackii’s cooking, dogs, the History Channel and the beach. He also had the ability to remember dates, times, and places of things that happened in 1964. He had a memory like an elephant. But most of all he loved meeting and talking to strangers with always a smile on his face.
Dwayne was the brother of Johnny Darryl Blake (Deceased), Dena Maria Kirschbaum and her husband Uwe, Derek Michael Blake, and Jackii Renay Bunch (God-sister), the uncle of, Shawnette Marie Blake-Weaver (Deceased), Corrinne, Rob, Julia, John, Philip, and Kiara, great-uncle to Skylar, Josephine, and Remi Olivia. He is also survived by his remaining aunts, Gladys Blake, Dorothy Goins, Beulah Blake and Bobbie Clayborne, and many cousins.
