Dutton completed his studies at the age of 17. He was married to Vertulia Murat Sugene and their union produced 10 children to which, seven are living. He left Haiti at the age of 38 years old to the United States, where he worked at various jobs.
While living in the United States, Dutton still provided and cared for his family back in Haiti. He loved to watch soccer with his family and friends. His favorite team was Brazil. He also enjoyed watching a good wrestling match to which he referred as ” lutte chalibrik” featuring Hulk Hogan and/ or the Ultimate warrior.
Although, Dutton was living in the United States, specifically in Irvington New Jersey, he kept in constant contact with his children and often called them to encourage them to do well in school. He instilled in them a love for education. He knew that education would give them a better chance to succeed in the new life he was planning for them.
Dutton was able to overcome many different health obstacles in his lifetime. Despite health challenges, he was known as someone with a fighting spirit.
In April 2022, this champion fought his last battle. He was called to be with the Lord on the 18th of April 2022, to be exact.
He shared his life and love with his wonderful Vertulia Diogene

His daughters and their husbands: Alicette (Julien Cheridor), Johanne (Gilbert Desilmar), Angeline, and Ninette(Cyril Coumarbatch)
His grandchildren: Kerlande Hines, Judith Cheridor, Judelande Cheridor, Emmanuel Cheridor, Nelson Cheridor, Cassandra Cheridor, Stephanie Cheridor, Gibson Desilmar, Melissa Diogene, Esther Diogene, Nayla Diogene, Wilman Diogene Jr., Ethan Diogene, Cameron Diogene, Brandyn Diogene, Edeck Pierre Jr., Nathan Pierre, Gabriel Pierre, Bethel Pierre, Kaleb Coumarbatch, Ismaella Coumarbatch, Kayla Coumarbatch, etc…
Dutton came from a family of 15 brothers and sisters. To name a few, there are listed as follow:
His brothers: Antoine Diogene, Assurance Diogene (deceased), Pompilus Diogene (deceased) Joseph Diogene, Joissaint Diogene (deceased) Saint-Phard Diogene (deceased)
His sisters: Francilie Diogene (deceased), Leticia Diogene, Sainte-Anne Diogene (deceased)
He will be greatly missed by all the above people and all his friends, family and neighbors in Haiti and the USA.
