Duane Elliott Hill, 84, of Pendleton, passed away on October 15, 2012 at the Saint John’s Health System.
He was born on December 29, 1927 in Hamilton County, Indiana and resided most of his life in Madison County. Duane served his country in the Army as a Staff Sargent. He retired in 1987 as a superintendent in Industrial Engineering for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 37 years of service. He loved to play golf, go camping, and spending time with his family.
Duane is survived by his loving spouse whom he married September 18, 1949, Donna Sylvester Hill, daughter, Rhonda Mark Williams of Pendleton, IN, brother, Joe Hill of Cicero, grandsons, Shaun Beth Williams of Pendleton, and Tyler Megan Armington Williams of Pendleton, great granddaughter, Ella Williams of Pendleton, and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at St. John’s Health System.
He was preceded in death by father, Walter Hill, mother, Barbara Hill; and brothers, Dick, Bob, Bryce, and Beech.
