Duane G. Cathers age 80 of Ashland, passed away Friday April 2, 2010 at Kingston of Ashland following an extended illness.
Born in Ashland County on May 5, 1929 the son of Charles and Lessie (McDugal) Cathers, he had been a resident of Ashland County all of his life.
Mr. Cathers was an employee of the U.S. Postal office retiring in 2003.
On July 24, 1954 he was married to Dorothy Beck of Ashland who survives.
Mr. Cathers is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Thomas, Fred and Charles.
Mr. Cathers was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Ashland. He had served as Treasurer, Trustee, Decon and as an Usher.
