Dr. Valerie A. (Fead) Livingston, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Charles Lyman with whom she shared over 36 years of loving marriage. Born in Pittsburgh to George R and Gladys A Fead, she grew up in Michigan and raised two children in Central Florida in a prior marriage before moving to Bethlehem with Dr. Lyman.
Valerie earned her PhD in Art History from the University of Delaware. She was a faculty member at Susquehanna University, lecturing and directing the art gallery for 20 years. She resided in Bethlehem’s historic district and served on the board of the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. Valerie enjoyed gardening, traveling, theatre, music, and summers on Monhegan Island, Maine.
SURVIVORS: Valerie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Charles; son, George R Miller; daughter, Debra A (Miller) Salvage; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and her miniature poodle, Winston.
