Dr. Bob James, 64, of Graham passed away on Saturday, December 31st, at home with his family and friends surrounding him.
A native of Graham, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen V. James; his daughter, Heather James Moser; son-in-law, Ryan Moser; the light of his life his grandson, Braeden Moser; his best friend “brother”, Kirk Puckett; and beloved dogs, Abbie and Gracie. He was the son of Joseph M. James and Lucile S. James, both deceased.
Bob worked with WBAG radio from 1969 to 1983. He graduated from Graham High School in 1970, Elon College in 1982, East Carolina University School of Medicine in 1987, and North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2000. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at Moses H. Cone Hospital in 1992. He worked as an Emergency Room Physician at Alamance County Hospital, Alamance Memorial Hospital and Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. He also practice Family Medicine with Dr. Richard Gilbert, Dr. James Hawkins and Randolph Medical Associates in Liberty, NC. He retired on disability in 2004. He was a dedicated and well respected physician and friend.
