Dr. Patricia Marie Campbell, Ed.D., 61, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday June 18, 2018 while in the care of the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lower Saucon Twp. She was the wife of Richard L. Campbell, Esq., with whom she shared 37 years of loving marriage.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert Meyd and Joannette (DePaola) Meyd of Bethlehem. Trish graduated from Freedom High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She earned her Masters in Education at Lehigh University as well as her Doctorate in Education at Nova Southeastern University. Trish worked in the Bethlehem Area School District throughout her lifelong career as an educator, serving first as a reading specialist at Freemansburg Elementary School and later as a principal at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Bethlehem. After her recent retirement, she worked as a literacy consultant.

She was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Trish will be remembered as a loving mother and generous friend as well as a committed mentor to many educators. She will be dearly missed.

SURVIVORS: In addition to her loving husband, Richard, Trish is survived by her son Richard L. “Chip” Campbell Jr., Esq. and his wife Isabella; daughter Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Campbell; mother Joannette Meyd, all of Bethlehem; sister Nancy Schnader and her husband Mark of Nazareth.
