Dub was born December 13, 1947 in Graham, Texas to Miron Walter and Lola Mae Putnam.
In 1966 Dub graduated from Plainview High School and then went on to successfully complete a Bachelor of Arts in Bible Study, a Masters in Counselling, a Doctorate of Theology and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Han University in Seoul, Korea for his work on developing their University.
In life, he pursued a career in music, writing and teaching. If you knew Dub and most likely you did, he never met a stranger. He always tried to share a piece of his life with you and did his best to try and learn as much as he could about your life.
To his family and friends his talents were unsurpassed. His musicianship and ability to pen a phrase, comforted your soul with is kind words, and he will be missed by all.
Dub is survived by his wife, Carmel, his children, Melissa & Clinton, Brett & Laura, Katy, his Grandchildren, Shelby, Tyler, Caleb, Christopher and Edward. As well as his sister and brother in law, Edna and Jeff Lott, his nephews and nieces, Kim, Stacy and Bracy and their families.
