He was born on May 16, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Peter McClorey and Christina (Mullen) Kelly. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen P. Kelly; two children: Brigid Dovel and Meghan Kelly; six siblings: Mary Kelly, Rita McKillip, Peter M. Kelly, Sister Regina Kelly O.P., Therese Monckton and Patricia Frett. Survivors include twelve children: Mary Tim Crowley of Ireland, Dr. John S. Kelly, Jr. of Indiana, Peter Kelly of Illinois, Patrick Kelly of Illinois, Kathryn Sinnott of Ireland, Carolyn DuFrain of Manassas, Mia King of Belgium, Kevin Kelly of Manassas, Mairin Scheetz of Manassas, Aileen Foeckler of Manassas, Father Brendan Kelly of Nebraska and Dr. Brian Kelly of California; 92 Grandchildren and 84 Great Grandchildren.
