Dr. Carroll Russell Loy, Jr., devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, age 65, of Chestnut Lane, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 21, 1953, in Louisville, he is the son of Jean James Loy of Louisville and the late Carroll Russell Loy, Sr.
He is also survived by his wife of 46 years, Leslie Willis Loy; five children, Dr. Alice Loy Bonnell (Mark) of Toledo, Ohio, Aubrey Lyn Shields (Ben) of Mt. Sterling, Carroll Russell Loy III (Thu-Ha) of Windermere, Florida, Christian Tyler Loy (Karlye) of Paducah, and Clayton Willis Loy (Megan) of Morehead; 13 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Cameron, Ansley, Hayden, Ana, Campbell, Ella, Adelynn, Jonsi, Hadley, Hudson, Ava, and Madilyn; and two brothers, Wesley S. Loy (Benita) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dr. Bryan A. Loy (Peggy) of Louisville.
Dr. Loy graduated from Tates Creek High School in 1971. It was here that his relationship with the love of his life, Leslie, began and flourished.
