Doyle Higgins was born on June 13, 1936, on the wind-swept prairie of Baca County, in the town of Pritchett, CO to Opal and Oren Higgins. As the baby of the family, he was greeted by 3 sisters and one brother. Doyle went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2022, at his home in Pueblo, CO. He lived in Canon City for 70 years and was employed 38 years with PBG of Pueblo.
Doyle is survived by his loving wife, Robin Higgins; daughter, Cathi (Tom) Nicol; sister, Emma (Nelson) French; brother-in-law, Jerry (Raelita) Cox; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 50 years (’53-’03), Dorothy Higgins; sons, Jeff and Wally; two sisters, his brother, mother, and father.
