Doyle Monroe Patterson, age 81, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on April12, 2022.

 

Doyle was born the son of the late John Lee Patterson and Burma Lou Dickerson Patterson on January 2, 1941. He was a 1959 graduate of Rabun County High School and was named an All-State athlete in football, and was inducted into the Rabun County High School Hall of Fame.  In his professional life he worked as a Plant Manager for Burlington Industries in Rabun Gap and Monticello, Arkansas. After retiring from the manufacturing business, he opened Patterson Carpet, in Clayton, and opened and operated it until his retirement.

 

In addition to his parents, one brother, Robert Patterson; one sister, Judy Payne, also preceded him in death.

 

His survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Judy Nichols Patterson, of the home; his daughter, Gina Patterson Turner (Eddie), of Toccoa, Georgia; one brother, Delmo Patterson (Carolyn), of Tiger, Georgia; two sisters, Joyce Reeves, of Asheville, North Carolina, Jane Oliver (Larkin), of Auburn, Georgia; sister-in-law, Sue Patterson, of Clayton, Georgia; two grandchildren, Rachel Holbrooks (Jason), Wade Turner (Trista); five great-grandchildren, Cole Patterson Holbrooks, Wyatt Holbrooks, Bella Holbrooks, Lexie Turner, Archer Turner also survive him.
