Rev. Doyle Lloyd Wetherington, 92, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was born in the family farmhouse near Lenox, Ga, Aug 31, 1928.

His ministry culminated as Executive Director of The Miami Baptist Association, Miami, FL, from 1984-1994.
Dr. Wetherington’s health declined precipitously in the last month. In the end he succumbed to sepsis.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Bonnell Clark of Kissimmee, Florida; daughter, Wanda Gail Coffey and her husband Pat of Homestead, Florida; 2 sons: Donald Lee Wetherington and his wife Glenda of St. Cloud, Florida, Reverend Larry D. Glover-Wetherington and his wife Miriam Anne Glover-Wetherington of Durham, North Carolina; 2 grandsons: Andrew Wetherington, Aaron Wetherington and his wife Jacquee; 3 granddaughters: Trisha Wetherington Alzate and her husband Andres, Gina Wetherington Ligouri and her husband Joe, Rita Coffey; great grandchildren: Michael Coffee, Eli King, Ava Lorraine Wetherington, Bria Suzanne Wetherington, Levi Chase Ligouri, Luca Cole Ligouri, and Tyler Selvig.
Dr Wetherington was predeceased by his first wife of 67 years, Harriet Florence Wetherington; a daughter-in-law, Janie Wetherington; and a granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Coffey.
