Douglas Riley Turner, age 71 of Birmingham, AL passed away on January 19, 2014. He helped start the Dixie Girls Softball, where he is a member of the Hall of Fame. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Erika Turner; daughters, Pebbles Miett (Robert) and Danielle Turner (Chris); brothers, Clyde Turner, Bill Turner, and Monford “M.P.” Turner; grandchildren, Haley Miett, Austin Miett, Zackary Miller, Colby Miller, Chase Miller, and Catilyn Miller.
