Douglas Terwilliger, age 69 of Ottosen, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his home. Douglas Michael Terwilliger, the son of John and Alice (Madsen) Terwilliger, was born on July 26, 1950 in Fort Dodge. He attended Humboldt High School. On September 13, 1970, Doug was united in marriage to Diane Stockdale in Thor. He worked in the concrete industry for Miller Grain and retired in 2000. Doug enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved watching football and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Oakland Raiders. He loved shooting pool and played on several different pool leagues. His talent on the table earned him numerous trophies and the opportunity to travel to Reno and Las Vegas to compete where his team placed 7th in the Nation for amateurs. Left to cherish Doug’s memory are his wife of 49 years, Diane; his children, Donita (Tom) Recker of Humboldt, Dee Terwilliger of Waukee, Danielle (Kirk) Bricker of Goldfield and Dakota (Jennifer) Terwilliger of Lake City; grandchildren Brian, Brandon & Brett Recker and Kaylie & Kaden Bricker; his siblings Janet (Jerry) Brown of Rockford, IL, Randy (Jan) Terwilliger of Eagle Grove, David Terwilliger of Vincent and John (Dennise) Terwilliger of Algona along with many nieces and nephews and other family members. Doug was preceded in death by his parents John & Alice Terwilliger; brother, Roger Terwilliger; In-laws, Thomas & Lucille Stockdale and numerous friends that were family to him.
