Douglas S. Sykes, age 63 of Ephrata, Pa, passed away fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on December 30, recently retired from both The Home Depot in Parkesburg, PA and Elwyn Institute in Harrisburg, PA. Doug took pride in taking care of his family, home and his indoor/outdoor of the late Robert & Evelyn Sykes. Family: Devoted partner and spouse of 35 years to Jim Roberts, loving brother of Robert (Patty) Sykes, David (Barbara) Sykes, Paul (the late Cindy) Sykes, Evelyn (the late Charles) Preising and many adoring nieces, nephews, friends.
