WHITMORE, Douglas James of Climax, Michigan Died March 13, 2014 at age 57. Doug was born February 2, 1957 in Kalamazoo to the late James R. and Helen V. Gettys Whitmore. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Jean Gorsline on May 24, 1996, who survives.
Doug loved the outdoors and watching the Lion’s and Spartan’s football but he loved watching Sunday NASCAR most of all. Doug is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Whitmore of Climax; sister, Sandra K. Tom Glidden; several nieces and nephews – including great and great-greats; and his pet and best friend, Sarah. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Bruce and Michael.
