Douglas F. Cisco, Sr., 78, of Seaside Park, NJ, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Toms River from 1960 until moving to Seaside Park in 1993. Douglas was a 1957 graduate of Newark State Teacher’s College, where he played varsity baseball and basketball. He was a teacher for 32 years, teaching at Roosevelt High School in Elizabeth, NJ then for the Howell Twp. School System. Douglas was a parishioner of St. Catharine RC Church, Seaside Park and St. Justin RC Church, Toms River, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and served as an usher.

He was also an avid bike rider on the boardwalk and he worked as a badge checker in Seaside Park and worked at Victor’s Parking Lot. Douglas was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, whom he met at Newark State College and only knew her as the girl down the hall, Jacqueline A. (nee Frank) in 2013, the daughter of Alice & John Frank. He is survived by his 3 children Douglas Jr. and his girlfriend Karen of Toms River, Thomas and his wife Cynde of Easton, PA and Margaret Murnane and her husband Patrick of Rutherford, NJ, 5 grandchildren Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Tommy, Isaac, & Crystal, and 3 great grandchildren Jaiden, Journey & Kaydence.
