Dottie (Kowal) Solek, of Middletown, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 after a short illness at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Bigda) Kowal. Dottie lived in Middletown all of her life and worked forty-four years in the Middletown Public School system. Her many humanitarian efforts included the coordination of numerous Bielefield School fundraising projects in aid of disaster victims and needy children around the world. Dottie was an advocate for every child she ever met.
