Dorthy May Brown Herrmann, 95, passed away June 7, 2016 in South Ogden, Utah. She was born on January 16, 1921 in Chilcoot, California to George Washington Brown and Mary Margaret French. She was one of five children.

She was in the first graduating year from the new Ogden High School on Harrison Blvd. She spent one year at Utah State University. She worked many different jobs, then went to work at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. There she met and married William Robert Farley. They had four children. They were later divorced. She then married Arthur Herrmann who passed away in 2004.

She was a beautiful seamstress, and loved knitting and crocheting, and needlework. We will all miss the beautiful sweaters and other things she made for us.

She loved animals, she was a very compassionate person for anything or anybody.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

She will be greatly missed, as she was a wonderful and loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Aunt.

Dorthy is survived by her Three Children: Diana (Jerry) Checketts, Pamela (Bob) Finder, Gail (Scott) Boyd; Daughter in Law, Suzanne Farley; 14 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband Arthur; Son William Robert Farley Jr.; Grandson Todd Farley; Brothers, George, John (Jack), Charles and Sister, Edna; Nephews, Larry and Leroy.
