Dorsie I. Goodbred, 98, of rural Tonica passed away on December 18, 2015 at 6:00 PM surrounded by her loving family in Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Mrs. Goodbred was born on June 28, 1917 to Harvey and Josephine (Flinn) Milner in Wayne County. She married James Elwin Goodbred on September 4, 1938 in Streator. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and gardening.
Mrs. Goodbred is survived by two daughters Judith (Kenneth) Zimmerman of Palatine and Nancy (Walter) Vegrzyn of Ottawa, two sons James Goodbred and Larry (Mary Ellen) Goodbred both of Tonica, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Goodbred was preceded in death by her husband James on July 12, 2008, one grandson, one great grandson, three brothers, and six sisters.
