Dorsey Lee Weaver, 77, of Tunnelton, WV, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Grafton.

Dorsey was born February 27, 1943, in Tunnelton, a son of the late Gordon and Marie Lora (Britton) Weaver. He was a 1961 graduate of Tunnelton High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. Dorsey worked at Giant Foods then retired as a Master Plumber in 2005, with over 40 years of employment and was a member of Plumber Union Local #5 in Maryland. He enjoyed bowling and race cars.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Loretta (Uphold) Weaver; one son and spouse, Scott and Doris Weaver of Linden, VA; two daughters and spouses, Jodi and Jack Redman of Fredericksburg, MD, Lori and Jerry Champaign of Clarksburg; one brother and spouse, Herbert and Linda Weaver; two sisters and spouses, Pearl and Pete Wilson of Tunnelton, Nina and Jimmy Sheets of Terra Alta; six grandchildren, Daniel Weaver, Olivia Redman, Max Redman, Darby Redman, Taylor Champaign, Peyton Champaign; several nieces and nephews; his cat Lucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick A. “Pat” Weaver, Wesley “Pete” Weaver; niece, Angie Weaver; nephew, Mitch Weaver. Family and friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; Monday, March 1, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8pm; on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m.
