Muncie-Dorris Pearl Silverthorn, 92, passed away Thursday evening, February 7, 2013, at the Westminster Village Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born in St. Jacob, Illinois on January 5, 1921 the daughter of, Frank and Lena Pearl (Hill) Pike.
Dorris graduated from the St. Jacob, Illinois High School and later graduated from North Western University in Chicago. She would go on to be Co-owner/ Founder and Bookkeeper of the Silverthorn Auto Body Shop along with her husband Frank Wayne Silverthorn who preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs.
Survivors include her son, Carl J. Silverthorn (wife-Linda), Muncie; one grandson, Brett Silverthorn (wife-Tamah), Eaton; one granddaughter, Brandi Shaw (husband-Matthew), Muncie; ten great grandchildren; Jacob, Graham, Braden, Franklin, Clare and Winston Silverthorn all of Eaton and Eli, Luke, Gabriel, Noah Shaw all of Muncie.
