Dorothy was born on March 23, 1926, daughter of the late Douglas and Anna (Dumschott) Thistle.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Cheryl Whittaker and June (Whittaker) Gagnon; grandchildren, Melanie and Stephen Gagnon; great-granddaughter, Nicolette Gagnon; sister, Jayne (John) Marsden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Lenore Thistle.
