Dorothy V. (Fry) Callison, 94, of Greenwood, received her eternal reward in heaven for a life well-lived, on June 11, 2014. Dorothy was born May 23,1920 in Beckwith, Fayette County, West Virginia to Vernon and Clara Della (Wilson) Fry. She married Charles Callison Dec. 4, 1989; they were married for 24 years.
Dorothy was employed with F.W. Woolworths Department store for 31 plus years in Ohio and later in Indianapolis and Greenwood, where she received top salesperson. She retired in 1990.
Her life was centered around her Lord and she enjoyed going to church. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, shopping, gardening and raising pug dogs. Family was the most important part of her life. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by all of her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia L. Smith, three grandchildren, Greg (Lora) Smith, Carrie (Mike) Willey, Angela (Jamie) Chatham, eight great-grandchildren, Zachary and Stephanie Smith, Amanda and Ashley Faus, Devin, Kacey, Brayden,and Mitchell Chatham and five great-great-grandchildren, Aleigha, Karli, Destiny, Noah and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law, Delmos R. Smith and six siblings.
