Dorothy M. Smith, 86, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born, June 17, 1923 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Marshall and Annie (Axsom) Deckard. Dorothy was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Sam Smith and his companion Darlene Smith, Forrest Smith and his companion Betty Elkins all of Bloomington, 13 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Smith (1975), one son, Bill Smith, one daughter, Phyllis Hamm, and her parents.
