Naugatuck Mrs. Dorothy (Johnson) Nelson, age 97, passed away Wednesday, July 30 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. She was the widow of the late George Nelson. Mrs. Nelson was born in Plymouth, CT a daughter to the late Arthur and Signe (Swan) Johnson. Before moving to Naugatuck Mrs. Nelson lived in Terryville and was a graduate of Terryville H.S. . She was a graduate of Hartford Hospital School of Nursing and spent many years working at area Hospitals as a Private Duty RN. Mrs. Nelson was a Red Cross Volunteer Nurse for over 40 years doing Medical Histories with the Blood Mobile. She was a member of HHSN Alumni, a member of the Naugatuck Registered Nurses Club, the Glendale Community Club.
