Dorothy Nanette Jennings, age 86, passed from this life on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Known to family and friends as Nanette, she was born in Chicago, Illinois, lived in Houston and most recently in Dallas. Nanette worked in Houston at Evans Music City and H&H Music selling Thomas organs, Kawai pianos and Baldwin pianos. She was the top Kawai salesperson for two years earning her trips to Japan. Nanette played the piano and entertained at Bistro Vino and the Ritz Carlton, both in Houston, Texas. Nanette also was a piano teacher, a music coach, and an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. Nanette made everyone around her smile and laugh; she was always so full of life.

Nanette is survived by her children, George Howard Jennings, III and Marla Rene Jennings; and their siblings, Janice Jennings and Mike Cooke. She is also survived by Anthony Tony Craig and Barbara Hodges, who were like her children. Nanette is preceded in death by her parents, James and Eva Carman and her sister, Carol Flood.

Nanette was sassy, a dreamer and an entertainer. She will be dearly missed by her family and a multitude of friends.
