Dorothy Marie Shaffer of Lakeland died on August 1, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
She was born on April 13, 1923, to Frank and Vera (Linton) Long. She married James Harvard Boswell during World War II and worked in a defense plant in Texas near to the Air Force base where he was stationed. Following Harvard’s death, Dorothy married Harry Paul (Pete) Shaffer on December 27, 1980.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her son James Boswell, three brothers (Hershel, Bryan and Jack) and two sisters (Ruby and Margaret).
Dorothy is survived by one sister (Anna), a granddaughter (Jasmine Johnson) and several nieces and nephews.
