Dorothy Marie Storjohann born January 6, 1940 in Chillicothe, TX, to Claud L. Major and Marie D. (Worley), passed on July 4, 2012 at the age of 72. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family and close friends, ending her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Her family moved to Yuma in 1947 where she later met the love of her life, Jack Storjohann. They married November of 1958 and spent 53 wonderful loving years together.

Over the years Dorothy worked for many prominent businesses in Yuma. The last 24 years were with Crop Production Services (formerly Western Farm Services). She looked forward to her lunches spent with her girls, granddaughter Casey Jo and great grandchildren. She loved to cook and was always the last to be served. She also loved going to roping’s, camping with the family, taking trips to San Diego or spending time in the mountains relaxing and fishing. Dorothy will be remembered for the love of her family, good times and telling it like it was! She never bypassed a casino and couldn’t wait for it to be 5:00 o’clock somewhere to enjoy many a happy hours with great friends.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Claud and Marie Major, and her sister-in-law Barbara Conway Major. She is survived by her husband Jack, her daughters Rhonda Lee (Ray) Griffin and Teresa Jean Storjohann, sister Doris Jean (Joe) Salazar, brother Gary L. Major, brother-in-law Gordon (Penny) Storjohann, grandchildren Elena Griffin, Kyle Burgett (Andrea Soto), Curtis (Becca) Griffin, Brandon (Katy) Burgett, and Casey Jo Rose, great grandchildren Alexis, Mia, Koston and Raeleigh Gene.
