Thomas, Dorothy Mae of Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 20, 2019, at Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center. She was 91 years old. Dorothy Mae Shephard was born July 22, 1928, in Natchez, Mississippi to the late Willie and Beatrice (Hargraves) Shephard. She married Booker T. Thomas on April 12, 1947, in Natchez, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1989. Dorothy was employed by Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital as a Laboratory Technician, retiring after 34 years of service.
Surviving are her children, Cloddie Johnson, Booker T. Thomas Jr., Brenda Thomas, and Tyrone Thomas; granddaughter, Rhonda (Edgar) Johnson-Frank; goddaughter, Alicia Caffey; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Flora Ivory and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyrone Hamilton Jr.; brothers, Jerry and Willie Shephard Jr., and her sister, Cordelia Mathious.
