Dorothy M. Henricks, 81, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born March 21, 1931 in Webster County, Kentucky to the late Koran and Allene (Lockridge) Melton. Dorothy graduated from the former Mt. Comfort High School and worked at the former Western Electric Plant in Indianapolis and the former Ginn Publishing.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, and taking care of her family. She is survived by son Steven E. Giles of Greenfield; step-sons: Michael Henricks of Arizona; David (Nobuko) Henricks of Indianapolis; and Bill Henricks of Greenwood; step-daughter Sharlyne (Bob) Wilson of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Alfred Melton of Greenfield; and sister Marie (Vernon) Rieke of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by husband Gale D. Henricks in 1993 and brothers Douglas and David Melton.
