Dorothy L. (Majors) Lumpkin, 89, of Riverdale, GA, died on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Roosevelt Lumpkin. Born in Nashville, TN, she lived in Hartford and Bloomfield for many years, before moving to Riverdale, GA a few years ago. Dorothy was employed as a crossing guard by the Town of Bloomfield for many years. Survivors include her seven children: Richard Whittington, Harriet Lumpkin, Earl Lumpkin, Phillip Lumpkin, David Lumpkin, Denise Lumpkin and Vincent Lumpkin, her granddaughter Danielle Wynn and her brother Royce Majors, who passed away on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014. She was predeceased by her grandson Issaiah Whittington.
