Born in 1940 in Sampson County, NC to the late Jasper H. and Della Tyndall Barber. Dot as she was lovingly known as worked as a hairdresser, she is preceded in death by her sister: Betsy Keith, brother-in-law: Hugh Keith, and sister-in-law: Sharon Barber.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 62 years Doug King of the home, Sons: Christopher King and wife Toni of Rosehill, Adam King and his wife Faye of Clinton, Brother: Rusty Barber of Clinton, Sisters: Gracie Moore and husband Henry of Clinton and Lillie Barber also of Clinton, grandchildren: Jessica King Blanck (Lucas) of Apex, Tara King of Wilmington, Tyler King of Rosehill, Brittni Febres of Clinton, Jenna King of Clinton and Abby King of Clinton and great-grandchildren: Chasen Guy, Rivers Wrenn, Anna Wrenn, Gabriel Blanck, Levi Powell, McKaylynn Powell, and Dakota Powell.
