Dorothy Jeanette Dozier Peterson, born March 3, 1938, died June 21, 2014. She was a lifelong citizen of Lonoke and a very special Saint of the Apostolics of Lonoke led by Rev. Don Sjostrand and Pastor Dr. John Tackett for over 40 years. She was a loving mother, sister, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include brothers: Ben, Jerry and Herbert Dozier; sisters: Joydean, Linda, Glenda, and Nina; sons:  Johnny, Robert and Tom Ed Peterson; daughters:  Rita Adams and Karen Privitt, all of Lonoke; grandchildren:  Karabeth, Katina, Heather, Jennifer, Candace, Ashley, Jana, Carl Edward, Brooklyn, Lane, and Will Stout; great-grandchildren:  Riley, Danny, Reagan, Darla Jeanette, J T, Landon, Caden, Jason, Will and Brooklyn.

Her life was lived for an example as a mother who raised seven children,  worked until she started and retired at Maybelline, now L’Oreal USA for 25 years, retiring in 2005. Her life was filled with Faith, Family and longtime best friend Vada Wheat with whom she shared years of laughter, love, tears, many trips to church and an amazing adventure on a trip to Jerusalem, a life changing experience. That was the only need for a passport, but an adventure that will still be passed on through this family.  Our Nanny can now be given a pearly white robe and she is trading her tears of grief for all the laughter one would need an entire lifetime when she is rejoined with her daughter Patricia Stout, son Larry David, grandson Ryan Michael and a sister Judy Alderman, who were all taken too soon; a wonderful Saint welcomed for a “mission accomplished”. When most would have lost the will to live, she found many lives that needed her touch before her time was complete.
