Dorothy Elmore, 83, of Boise, passed away peacefully at home with her family on March 17, 2012. Dorothy was born November 27, 1928 in Stafford, Mo to W.W. & Ermal Deffenbaugh, the youngest of 9 siblings.
Dorothy’s parents moved to Nyssa, Oregon where she met her husband, Marvin Elmore, they were together for 53 yrs. She graduated from Adrian High in 1946 and married in October that same year. Dorothy has 3 children, Leslie Elmore (deceased), Beverly Morlan, Trudy Jones and a niece she considered a daughter Mary Bowen.
Dorothy’s favorite thing to do was to bake cookies, pies, cakes, breads and make Sunday dinner for her family and friends.
Dorothy retired from the JR Simplot plant in Hayburn after working there for 25 yrs.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Beverly Morlan, Beaverton, Or, Trudy (Tony) Jones, Boise, Niece Mary (Rusty) Bowen, Twin Falls. 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Crystal) Elmore, Kansas City, Mo.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, husband, parents and siblings.
