Dorothy Jean Bartrom, 92, died at Oakbrook Village, Huntington, Indiana on Thursday, October 30, 2008 ( 6:05 PM.)
Mrs. Bartrom was born December 14, 1915, in Columbia City, Indiana to Orland James and Ada Mae Nie Hurd. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bartrom married John V. Bartrom on December 8, 1936. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1966.
Mrs. Bartrom was employed in the Food Service Division at Huntington College for nineteen years. She also was employed at Little Ceasar’s Pizza and The Cookie Bouquet in Fort Wayne, IN. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the ABWA where she was given the honor of “Woman of the Year”. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Huntington Art Guild.
Survivors include Three Sons: Jan D. (Linda) Bartrom, Dennis P. (Terri) Bartrom, John V. (Rebecca) Bartrom all of Huntington, IN. Three Daughters: Judy Sanders, Huntington, IN; Lynne (Dan) Cicatko Andrews, IN.; and Jill (John) Christ, Roanoke, IN. 1 Sister: Lois Mossman, Columbia City, IN 21 Grandchildren, 37 Great-grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Robert Dale Hurd. 2 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
