Dorothy Harris Back, 87, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. A life- long resident of Coweta County, Dorothy was a graduate of Newnan High School’s Class of 1945 and she proudly served as a member of the Reunion Committee, which gave her great joy in her later years. She worked as a bank teller for Manufacturer’s National Bank of Newnan and as an Executive Secretary for Norman W. Paschall Company in Peachtree City until her retirement in 1972.

Whether you knew her as Dorothy, Dot, “Pete”, or Mimi- you knew how much she loved her family. She often spoke about how fortunate she was to have the husband, children and grandchildren that she had and we were blessed to have her. She had a great sense of humor, and always enjoyed sharing funny stories or passing along a good joke. She was an avid sports fan and a dedicated supporter of the Atlanta Braves. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Nonnie Lee Harris, mother Mary Lilly Willoughby, sister, Mary Harris of Newnan and her late husband E.H. “Bubba” Lambert of Sharpsburg, GA.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Dean Back of Sharpsburg, GA, her five children: Brenda and Ken McCurry of Blairsville, GA, Jennifer and Thomas Murray of Cumming, GA, Connie and Jeff Psathas of Sharpsburg, GA, Alan and Lisa Jackson of Sharpsburg, GA, and Michael and Angie Lambert of Sharpsburg, GA, and her step- daughter, Kathy and Rob Sharp of Palmer, MI, 24 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and her beloved dog Otis.
