Hartford City – Dorothy H. Oliver, 76, formerly of Selma went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 14, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.
Dorothy was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 23, 1938, the daughter of Elbert and Katheryn (Haven) Durham; she graduated from Royerton Community Schools.
Mrs. Oliver was a caregiver at homes for 32 years, an avid gardener, working in a greenhouse for 3 years. She also worked at Kerr Glass, before going to Lifetouch Photography where she retired in 2005.
Survivors include four sons, Eddie Keihn, (wife Clara), Ashland, Kentucky, Bobby Keihn, (wife-Debbie), Straughn, Don Oliver Jr., (wife-Terri), Eaton, Clay Oliver, Muncie; seven daughters, Debbie Brice, (husband-Chuck), Lemoore, California, Tammy Craig, Omaha, Nebraska, Teresa Johnson, (companion-Glen), Albany, Ruth Oliver, Hartford City, Maggie McCormick, (husband-Jay), Muncie, Carolyn Stovall, (husband-Andrew), Muncie; 34 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Donald Oliver Sr.; a sister; and several in-laws.
