Freeport: Dorothy G. Cain, 92, of Freeport, died Monday, January 21, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born March 6, 1915 in Freeport she was the daughter of Roscoe and Iva M. (Van Brocklin) Peck. She married John Cain June 28, 1937 and he died June 24, 1974.
Dorothy was a member of Van Brocklin United Methodist Church where she was the church organist for over 50 years. Surviving are two sons, Roger (Vickie) Cain of Freeport and Rodney (Sandy) Cain of Loves Park; one sister, Leona Aspinwall; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Dolores Moring, one sister Elizabeth Van Dyke, and two brothers, Robert Peck and Theodore Peck.
